She is certified in administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT), and uses a sensory integrative approach to facilitate provision of a holistic therapeutic experience. She is also certified in Movement Opportunities Via Education (M.O.V.E.), has a strong background in neurodevelopmental technique (NDT), and uses Brain Gym and CranioSacral techniques to facilitate therapy. In her work with clients within the Autism Spectrum, she has worked closely with psychologists in behavioral programming.
Dr. Mofid and Ms. Rosen are very excited to be joining their expertise to provide a unique opportunity to enhance thier clients' quality of life using a Sensory Motor Integration approach. Incorporating Occupational Therapy into a Gymnastics setting presents a one of a kind situation where the clients may receive therapy services, and learn to carry these skills over into a more typical community environment. One of the theories behind occupational therapy is skill development via purposeful activity, and an important criteria for sensory integration is that the activity be intrinsically motivating. What a perfect combination!
